Registered Polysomnographic Program Announcement
The Medical Board of California (Board) is pleased to announce that the Registered Polysomnographic Program is now operational.
Individuals that are involved in the treatment, management, diagnostic testing, control, education, and care of patients with sleep and wake disorders are required to be registered with the Board as a registered polysomnographic technologist, polysomnographic technician or a registered polysomnographic trainee, as appropriate.
Individuals that are not required to become registered with the Board are California licensed allied health professionals, including, but not limited to, respiratory care practitioners working within the scope of their license.
