Pandemic Influenza-Swine Flu Alerts

- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger proclaims a State of Emergency that will support and facilitate our state health department's response to this outbreak. The California Department of Public Health advises that updates will be available at the CDPH Web site (www.cdph.ca.gov) and at the CDC Web site (www.cdc.gov) as information emerges.
- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in response to requests from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has issued Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) to make available to public health and medical personnel important diagnostic and therapeutic tools to identify and respond to the swine flu virus under certain circumstances.
